4.1 Product Descriptions

We make every effort to describe our products accurately. However, please note the following:

• Colours: Product colours may appear differently on different screens due to monitor calibration, lighting, and display settings. Actual colours may vary slightly from photography.
• Handmade Variation: All our products are handcrafted by skilled artisans in Nepal. Minor natural variations in weave, texture, and colour are an inherent and valued characteristic of handmade luxury goods — not a defect.
• Photography: Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may not exactly represent the final product received.

4.2 Product Availability

Displaying a product on our website does not guarantee that it is in stock. Product availability will be confirmed by our team following your Order Request. If a product is unavailable, we will notify you promptly and offer suitable alternatives where possible.

5. Pricing

• All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, once we have confirmed your order in writing, the agreed price will be honoured.
• Prices shown on the website are exclusive of applicable taxes and shipping costs, which will be communicated to you during the order confirmation process.

6. Order Request Process

We currently operate an Order Request model. Our ordering process works as follows:

1. Browse — Explore our product range on the website.
2. Submit Request — Complete and submit the Order Request form on a product or Contact page.
3. Review — Our team reviews your request, checks availability, and reviews your requirements.
4. Confirmation — We contact you directly via email or phone to confirm product, colour, size, shipping destination, and final pricing including taxes and shipping.
5. Invoice — We provide you with a personalised invoice and payment instructions.
6. Payment — Payment is completed as per the instructions provided by our team.
7. Dispatch — Once payment is received and confirmed, your order is prepared and dispatched.

6.1 Order Acceptance

Submitting an Order Request does not constitute a confirmed purchase. A binding agreement between you and Himalayan Cashmere World Inc. is formed only when we have confirmed product availability and pricing in writing (email) AND payment has been received in full. We reserve the right to decline any Order Request for any reason, including product unavailability or pricing errors.

6.2 Order Cancellation

You may cancel your Order Request at any time before payment is made by contacting us directly. Once payment has been received and your order has been dispatched, cancellations may not be possible. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds policy in Section 9.

7. Payment

Payment for all orders is arranged directly with our team following order confirmation. We will provide you with clear payment instructions as part of the order confirmation process. Payment must be received in full before your order is dispatched. At this stage, we do not process payments directly through the website and no payment card details are entered on our website.

8. Taxes & Duties

8.1 Canadian Customers

Applicable Canadian federal (GST/HST) and provincial sales taxes will be applied to your order where required by law and will be clearly communicated in your invoice.

8.2 US Customers

Sales tax may be applicable depending on your state. Any applicable taxes will be included and itemised in your invoice.

8.3 International Customers

International orders may be subject to import duties, customs fees, and local taxes upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. Himalayan Cashmere World Inc. has no control over these charges and is unable to predict their amount in advance.

9. Returns & Refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Himalayan Cashmere World purchase. If you are not satisfied, please review our policy below.

9.1 Return Eligibility

You may return an item if it is unused, unworn, and in its original condition with all tags attached, and you contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to initiate a return. Custom or personalised orders are not eligible for return.

9.2 How to Initiate a Return

Contact us at [email protected] with your order reference number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return. Our team will review your request and provide return instructions and the return address.

9.3 Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, if approved a refund will be issued within 5–7 business days via the original payment method. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part or a product defect. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrectly sent.

9.4 Non-Returnable Items

• Custom or personalised orders made to your specifications
• Items that have been worn, washed, or altered in any way
• Items returned without original packaging, tags, or documentation
• Items damaged due to improper care or handling by the customer

9.5 Faulty or Damaged Items

If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with photographs of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no additional cost to you.

9.6 Exchange Policy

We are happy to assist with exchanges where possible, subject to product availability. Please contact our team directly to discuss exchange options before returning any item.

10. Shipping Policy

Estimated delivery timeframes will be provided to you during the order confirmation process. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by production and handcrafting timelines, carrier delays, customs clearance for international orders, and public holidays or unforeseen circumstances. Shipping costs vary based on destination and carrier and will be confirmed in your invoice. Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon dispatch of your order.

Our products are handcrafted from natural fibres and require appropriate care and handling. Natural characteristics of handmade Pashmina and Cashmere — including minor variations in weave, texture, and natural fibre — are not considered defects. We do not provide any express warranty beyond what is required by applicable consumer protection law in Canada and the United States.
